Cold Comfort

A futile attempt 

Better to have loved and lost

Lay demons to rest

Vase of Thorns

Miniature talons skim the 
water's surface, sitting in a 
vessel of cruel formaldehyde,
perfectly preserving intentions 
of suffering, taunting my soul 
with what once bloomed.

Undying

Time stands still with you

Rose petals that never wilt

Frozen in our joy

Waiting Room

Am I dreaming that I'm awake?
A linear narrative that could be our mistake?

Dreaming of limitations,
Impossible lies and permutations

Invented physics,
Preposterous statistics

A conjured reality, 
Living a life of triviality

Mental abnormality
An immortal deluding it has mortality?

Is this all just a massive trip?
A nurological momentary blip?

Has my sanity just given me the slip?!

Raw Meat

Electric shudder

Pulses throughout the body

Primal awakening

Burning lamps kiss the air tenderly
A soft whisper that whimpers gently
is lost in the echoes of the room

There is a broken wind that sporadically
gusts with a sharp yet controlled howl

Along the hall stands a grey weather
beaten figure, who glares into a dimly lit
mirror

The pale face that stares back, hag-ridden
and dazed, numb with guilt now

The shadows linger for a while, but
reflections, they never fade

Picking up The Pieces

Shattered illusions

Fictional world collapses

Behold the fragments

The Fractalised Camera

Splintered thought process

Sees many facets displayed

A bug-eyed vision

The Great Pyramid Scheme

Follow the gold
Until you grow old

Blinded by it's glitter
Hypnotised by false glimmer

All money is debt
We the slaves work to regret

The poor 
The rich 

All binded by a golden bet

Clouded Vision

Faded clarity

Drifting out of wakefulness

Asleep whilst dreaming
