The mirror has two faces
Realms within the realm

Bubbling cauldron of desires, fuelled by impulsive fires.
Flames of self-blame encouraging shame, attempting to justify needs is a losing game.
A cycle that will spiral into a recital of spiteful trifle.
Devastation for this unruly mental inflammation.
Existential crisis from too much self contemplation.
Silence these voices, you will see more choices.
Creative solutions to these fears and pollutions.
Live with shadows but see in the light, take a deep breath and you will sleep better tonight.

Conscripted by suffering
Pain brought me into the light
The shadows are the echoes of
My scars
My scars

Words tumble down the branch guided by the stream of droplets that have collected.
Olives fruit and taste of inspiration, ripe now and full of energetic flavours.
The dew on the grass blades meditate on their surface, in total harmony immersed inside their forever quenching world.
I bottle their essence, my elixir when I need revitalisation.

Rebellion simmers on
Control freaks among us

From the minute I wake there's a buzzard pecking at my cranium.
He's relentless and ruthless think he's trying to mine for Uranium.
I take some pills to help with the chills
His massive wingspan
He needs no wingman
Once he's finished drilling for his minerals he'll take me away, feed me to his younglings like I'm a bowl of profiteroles.
Get me some caffeine to go speed up the process of this medicine.
Then when the pain in my head has finally fled
I'll get myself tucked away back up into my bed.
When I wake in the morning, he comes again without any warning.
Pecking away, at my head for the day.
