Delusion to Solid Conclusion

Sometimes I write and think I have a God complex

It's just a muscle in my brain that spasms uncontrollably into reflex

I rise the heights beyond the God form and think that I'll absolutely smash it wearing Spandex

Then I take a good hard look in the mirror and see that it's shape was convex

I flip my camera around and probe it deep inside now my mirror is inwards, concave and made of hard perspex

Transparent and naked, but beautifully perfect

Now I see it all, its impression casts as I reflect.

Although ‘the ego’ is a useful tool to navigate through the filter of society it’s also important not to take one’s self too seriously. It’s necessary to interact and have some form of character that people can recognise but try not to be that character or get lost in its illusory nature. Use it as a tool, and because it is illusory, you can make that character whatever your imagination allows and conjures. Make it and shape it the best you can and use it wisely. Then when you don’t need it, put it on standby, or observe it. Mold it.
